I suffered from a Knee (cartilage) injury causing me to be unable to do any sports, long distance driving & even sitting behind my desk at work. After medical consultation, my only way to avoid an operation was a specific training program. Roy designed a series of PT sessions incorporating Core Mobility, Kettlebells, Muscle Memory, Stretching & Weightlifting exercises supported by Sports Massage. After 6 months I was able to function normally again and pick up slowly my sporty hobbies. After 12 months I have been able to beat my running PB's (by 10%). Now after 18 months, feeling all-around super fit, strong, lean, with excellent stamina, I can certainly recommend Roy. He is besides a nice person, a very knowledgeable trainer with a great attitude and great skills. Still enjoying his sessions today!
My partner and I are both squash players and signed up for training with Roy a year ago to improve our strength and fitness in areas that will boost our performance on court. Roy always comes up with exercises to suit us both, working excellently around (and with - should we have any problems during a session) our injuries. No two sessions are ever the same so it never gets boring. He's always high spirited and encouraging anyway so getting bored isn't an option.
He's very knowledgeable on not simply the training but nutrition and injury treatment side as well. Most importantly, he's aware of the importance of a "light" session and notices when we're exhausted without us saying so then changes the day's programme accordingly.
Always accommodating, friendly and helpful. As we felt the huge benefits after just a few sessions we'll definitely continue working with him in the future.
